    I hear you mate. I'm sure that that Supermarket in Blenheim should be able to get it in for you... Beerstore.co.nz has it - so if they do, there must be a supplier around. That would save a fair amount of your money - I'm sure. If you like that Pale Ale, I have a few recipes floating around that could be of interst to you... once you get your brewing A into G that is!

    I'd make a starter with that smackpack... like 2 liters if you can. If it gets cranking, then I'm sure the yeast will be fine to ferment a lower gravity beer like a bitter. As far as dried yeast goes, both US-05 and S-04 will make nice beer. With the same recipe, your brew with US-05 will come out balanced, neutral with clean hop flavours and your brew with S-04 will carry some yeasty esters as well as less hop flavour with clean malt notes. We stock both of those dried varieties now. Cheers!
