I brewed this awhile back, and I've been meaning to put some notes up for it.

this is a great beer, I drank plenty of this during my travels, and living in yorkshire for a few years, there was plenty of opportunity...

the official CYBI is here: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f12/can-you-brew-recipe-black-sheep-rig...

Nice Brown ale although slightly darker when using gladfield chocolates.

The yeast is the most important part of this beer, the fruity esters play so well with the darker malts. would make a great beer from the handpull.

This is a great beer, Its been in the bottle about 3 weeks and its going to be a cracker.   A perfect beer for a 1469 yeast cake after brewing a timothy taylor landlord....   I am about to rebrew that one.

Now something a bit radical a simcoe/amarillo smash on pils malt with 1469   50 ibu at 15min 50:50% split on the hops....

read about it on another forum, worth a crack.

Thanks for suggesting this beer Rob

No Worries - Let me know how it turns out using hops. I'm definitely interested to see how the strain works in something like an East Coast PA/IPA.
