Tap barb wrong size

Hi all,

I've recently added a new tap sourced from Trade Me to my beer fridge,but the barb is too big for standard 4mm hose. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution other than replacing the tap?

Make a short hose tail that fits your tap barb then add a John Guest adapter to the other end that accepts the 4mm line.

You might need to use a combination of reducing straight line connectors and plain reducers to achieve the line size reduction you are after. Best done by taking your tap and the 4mm line in to the place selling them and working it out there.

I'm in Auckland and get all that stuff from Pipeline WAM - but I have also gone straight to John Guest if Pipeline haven't got what I want - both of them are in Patiki Rd in Avondale.
