Can someone tick off my thinking please. Its xmas prezzie time from the mrs and we've agreed on me finalising my keg setup....Just got a few 19L corny kegs and plan on refurbishing seals so will get a few sets from craftbrewer or someplace similar. Do I have to remove the dip tubes etc as a couple of the connectors have start shaped nuts at the base, not flat sided nuts so that will be fun trying to get them off..

Looking also for a regulator and the micromatic dual guage from craftbrewer is $145 ozzie. The same model ( i think) from kegsonline.com.au looks to be $90 Ozzie..Can someone confirm they are indeeed the same ? IF so thats some price difference. Are kegsonline reputable?

Kegsonline link - http://www.kegsonline.com.au/category3_1.htm

Disconnects - Presume I need one gas and one beer for each keg..Anything else specific?

Apart from the gas, anything else I would need or see real value in e.g is there much benefit in the micromatic dual regulator versus the single regulator? Can I just switch the gas line between kegs easily etc?

Think thats it...Cant wait to stop filling 500 ml bottles :)

Thanks again chaps..

The funny shaped nuts are just 12 points. The right size ring spanner will take them off. I can't remember the size but I know its US measurements.

Yup, those look like the same regulators, surprised that one's heaps cheaper.

Yup, one gas and one liquid per keg for every keg you want to have on tap at one time. LOTS of beerline is also necessary to balance lines.

Dual regulator is better, allows you to run two kegs at to different pressures (levels of carbonation). But it's also easy to buy the single reg and then run a 'T' and an inline regulator. Or just have both (or multiple beers) at the same level of carbonation.
Benefit of dual reg is that you can have two bers at different carbonation levels etc. If you can handle changing things around i.e. gas disconnect and reg pressure then a single works fine. A ''T'' in the gas line lets you dispense two beers at the same time. Get spare disconnects - have found that they come in handy - washer coupling, pressure checker etc
