Was just at Sylvia Park Foodtown (down the southern end of the mall for those that haven't been there).

They have a very nice selection of imports at the moment.

A couple of Lambics.

Schnieder Wiess Original and dopplebock (weizenbock? not too sure which).

Fuller's - London Pride, ESB, Porter, Organic Honey Dew, 1845

Youngs Pale and Choc Stout.

A few different Chimay's and a Duvel.

The 4 Leffe's.

Old Speckled Hen.

About 10 or so other English ales.

Thistle IPA and a Wee Heavy from the same brewery (Belhaven?)

Two beers from Hofbrau.

Some other stuff in tinnies.

Pretty surprised to see this selection there, worth the look if you're in the area.

any craft beer?
Meh.

But I'd take one bottle of the above over a box of 33 any day.

Got any suggestions for decent beer out East AK ways then?
Pak n Save Botany, has really lifted there game, got a bunch of single bottles now
Funny that about Foodtown. The Foodtown Grey Lynn has gone totally bland. They had a small selection of craft etc, but not any more. Woolworths is so so. New World Victoria Park has a great selection. Foodstuffs seem to be miles ahead of Progressive in this space.
I just had an 1845 tonight - first good one I've had in about 6 attempts. I was going to give Fuller's a Kempicus-style serve but I'll leave it for now.
come on serve it! my exboss/mate is the quality manager there....i'll pass it on! ;0)
tell him that some of the bottles that are being exported over here are being opened and sampled before shipping. to ensure that nobody knows that this is being done, they are being filled with a small amount of carboard-filtered horse piss and a wurther's original.
