I've just added some dry leaf hops to my fermenter and the buggers are just floating on top. Before I go bashing about with a spoon to get them all wet, will they absorb fluid on their own and sink or is the spoon a good option?
I dry hopped with a plug of Styrian recently, and had exactly the same result.
I ignored it, let it do it's thing, and just went ahead and bottled as normal. They floated, even when fully saturated with my brew, until I was down to the end of bottling.
I might have lost about ½ litre at the end of bottling, compared to normal, but hey, so what?
