Anyone here used this product for black IPA's - SINAMAR- natural malt colouring?

I'm about to do a black IPA and was thinking of using this product for color as it's meant to give you that dark color without the roasted or astringent aftertaste that you get when using darker malts.. I could use some dehusked carafa III but it still gives off some roasted notes..

So has anyone here used this product with positive results??

I've used the following with good results: http://thebrewhouse.co.nz/beer/briess-midnight-wheat

No bitter flavours.

Thanks mate I will check it out..First time I've seen this type of bitter-less malt before.. It certainly looks promising.

apparently stone uses it in their enjoy by black. haven't had it but have heard good reviews, is it available in New zealand?

Hi Rob, that's nice to know it's received positive reviews mate.. As far as I know you can get it through Cryer malt up in Auckland.. I'm not sure of the minimum amounts you can order tho, as you only need a very small amount to use in a 5 gallon batch.

I have a sis who lives in the states and was going to get her to send me a home brew size bottle from here   http://www.love2brew.com/Sinamar-4-oz-p/add035.htm

as I have not found any home brew stores selling it in NZ as of yet..
