I've found that the Koppafloc works significantly better than Irish Moss

Though since I've stopped using Irish Moss, I heard that some people rehydrate it - not sure if that would have made a difference to my beers ?
I always rehydrate my Koppafloc slightly. I chuck it into a small dish full of warm water with my yeast nutrient just before I chuck it into the boil.
Feeling like rubbish but I have to brew this tomorrow as I have no other chance this month.

WBC Dry Stout

45% Malted Oats
30% Golden Promise
10% Roast Barley
10% Flaked Barley
2.5% Chocolate
2.5% Caraafa Special II

Steped Mash 55 (12 Mins) 64-65 till converted

42 Ibu Columbus @ 60

1.045

Nottingham Ale Yeast

Had a mere with the roast barley I didnt have enough hence why my recipe is all screwed up my original was

75% GP
15% Roast Barley
10% Flaked Barley

So this should be well intresting? more of a test of the oats.
Classic. That was my mystery yeast. Was, as it didn't wake up. Pitched 05 this morning and it's just started to come to life... good luck!

Probably. I should have checked the date on the packet but I didn't even think about it.
Stink!! I hope this beer does the nottingham yeast justice, I have no expectations of this beer.
Just transfered this puppy to secondary. It's at 1.013 after starting at 1.068. It got monstered by that 05. 7.2% You wouldn't know by the sample though. Tasting good.
Is there no Flaked Barley to be found in Welly now ?
Jesus!! I had to increase my batch size from 23L to 28L my effic is like 90% wasnt expecting that!! That Oat Malt is one earth son of a bitch, I like it!! Now what to ferment it in?? I was thinking of racking of my 10L of 100% brett beer maybee I rack 8L onto the left over brett of that??
