the issue is that most people who want to buy will want more bling then that one has....

I think it would struggle to hit 2k from $1 reserve,   if you where keen you could put it together for 2k and have more bling, your labour being free...

not saying if it where to be stripped into pieces it wouldnt get more the heat exchanger is cool .

just saying for 3k you could import a lot of blichmann kit

I don't know if I'd go near the heat exchanger if there is that much build up in the keggle of filth from brewing and not a lot of cleaning by the looks,

I'd hate to see the inside of the heat exchanger let alone try and clean it and finding new seals for it, a bit of PBW wouldn't have gone a stray at some stage,

I had a really good look at the farra at Brewercoop on Tuesday,  I reckon you could build one like that and add pumps and pid for 2k...

hence my request for where I can get farra style pots found this guy

http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/354171541/Stainless_steel_stockpo...

they do a 50w by 36cm deep works out to be 70L

Thinking about chinese holiday and brew kit buying expedition, after company setup, tax free brewing holiday stylez.

I got  my pot from savebarn on TM $225 delivered to CHCH exactly same 59 litre pot as farra brewery last time I looked at a farra, allgrain had pretty cheap 100L pots

yeah I like karls pots but the are tall , not so good for gravity system

I visit save barn today and see what they have

I am in two minds about where to go next with my setup – keep cobling more stuff onto it or sell it and start from scratch! If I did sell it I would probably use some of the money to purchase a TIG setup and teach myself to weld stainless for the next build.

But it really depends on what funds I have available! So at a rough guess, how much do you think I would get for this?

2 keggles - bottom drain valves on both / BK has whirlpool return and 2x 2kW elements / MLT has false bottom (I use buckets at the moment to transfer the strike water out of the BK so I can then transfer the wort from the MLT into the BK with the pump)

MD40 pump

30 plate HEx

Control panel with PID control for 1 element and on/off switches for the second element and pump

3 Hoses with camlocks

Got some casters to mouth to the frame (will eventually get to it!)

Not my setup but a friend owns it and is building a bigger system. Ive seen the system in action and its really impressive with easy temperature control and good results. It can also do large batches, up to 80 litres or so.

I have just chucked a couple of taps on trademe $1 reserve if anyone is looking, upgraded the fridge to four kegs and these were excess http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=668356424

Mention that you saw me post this on Realbeer and I'll knock $5 off each keg

Cheers,

I assume it's $85 each, in which case you might want to mention it in the TM posting. It reads like it's $85 for all thee.

$85 for 3 corny kegs?? "Tell him he's dreamin!" ;)
